Media Department Manager Employer Social Fund For Development Job Title Media Department Manager Languages English - Arabic Country Egypt Job Category Media Job Type Full Time Description 1.Plan, organize, direct, control, evaluate the work in the media department. 2.Develop communications strategies and programs designed to inform clients, employees and the general public of initiatives and policies of the organization. 3.Gather, research and prepare communications material for internal and external audiences 4.Conduct public opinion and attitude surveys to identify the interests and concerns of key groups served by the organization. 5.Prepare reports, briefs, bibliographies, Managing Directors speeches, presentations, Web sites and press releases 6.Arrange workshops, meetings, ceremonies and other events for publicity, fundraising , information purposes and awareness. 7.Initiate and maintain contact with the imprint and audio visual media. 8.Arrange interviews and news conferences 9.Answer written and oral inquiries by media. 10.Develop and implement advertising campaigns appropriate for print or electronic media. 11.Develop and implement training events for the media. 12.Coordinate and participate in public awareness communication campaigns Qualifications •A university degree in communications, journalism, public relations or any relevant field. •Diploma in media or communication is an asset. •Minimum 15 years experience in media development sector. •Excellent knowledge of advertising, public relations , communications. •Strongly connected to the media community. Gender Any Education major Mass Communication Experience Over 15 years Other Skills •Superior writing skills. •Analytical skills demonstrated in a strong ability to analyze the environment and predict upcoming threats. •Articulate, politically sensitive and able to handle politically sensitive situation. •Very strong interpersonal skills. •Ability to develop and maintain relations with media based on mutual respect. •A team leader able to inspire and build capacities. •A strong interest in development and an ability to capture and document development projects in an innovative way.
